With the growing plethora of online florists it is important to be able to distinguish which are going to be able to meet your expectations. There are two primary aspects about choosing an online florists.
Firstly, the quality of the product and service. Value is important, but is not defined by price alone. What guarantees on next day or same day delivery do they provide? Do they differentiate between differing requirements such as wedding, birthday, funeral etc, or do they provide generic offerings. Are there options for buying in different sizes? What is their helpline like?
Secondly, the website can tell you a lot about the company itself. If the website looks homemade, then the service is likely to fall short of your expectations for anything other than local delivery. If they cannot invest in their own website it is unlikely they will provide a first class international service. So what do you look for in a good online florist website with international pretensions?
1. Does it look professional with positive branding?
2. Is the navigation intuitive and easy to use?
3. Does the shopping process inspire confidence, i.e. is it secure (showing a padlock?
4. Is the shopping process easy to follow?
5. is it easy to contact the florist?
If the site is well built, shows a good range of flower arrangements, and is easy to use, you are well on the way to discovering a good site. But make sure that if you have a bad experience, you not only let the company know but also post a review on any directory that you see them listed in.
